Samuel Leroy Jackson better known as Samuel L. Jackson is an American film and television actor and film producer. He was born on December 21, 1948 in Washington, D.C., United States. He is the only child of his parents. He met his father only twice in his life as his father lived away from the family and later he died from alcoholism. He graduated from Riverside High School and later attended Morehouse College in Atlanta. During his college days he find an interest in acting and soon after graduation he started his acting career in made his first acting debut in the film Together for Days in 1972 in which he played the role of Stan. Since he has started his acting career he has appeared in over 100 films, including Die Hard with a Vengeance, The 51st State, Jackie Brown, Unbreakable, The Incredibles, Black Snake Moan, Shaft, Snakes on a Plane, Django Unchained, as well as the Star Wars prequel trilogy and small roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Inglourious Basterds.
He married actress and sports channel producer LaTanya Richardson in 1980 and the couple have a daughter, Zoe, born in 1982.
